Website coding: HTML &CSS

In week 4 our workshop was all about constructing our website by coding. This is because we have to put in codes to put in what we want into the website. For example you would have to put in a code for the title, navigation bar, images, the writing and the different pages. She told us about a website that can help us to put in the codes. It is called W3schools which has been very useful for helping me type out the correct codes. The student mentors came around and they suggested websites that they had liked using. Such as the windows note app and Dreamweaver. I would like to start using dream weaver from this week. This is because i like the layout of the app. It shows a split screen and the codes your typing in turn into what it would look like as your website. So, it helps me to see what I'm doing whilst I am putting the codes into my website.

In this lesson we went over these learning outcomes which where ; to understand image optimisation, save images for the web in different formats, be familiarised with text editors(e.g. Dreamweaver), be familiarised with basic HTML and CSS, be familiarised wit hex colour code and use of content management system. (W3.org, 2022) explains how HTML (the Hypertext Mark-up Language) and CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) are two of the core technologies for building Web pages.
